BC SPCA Offleashed Gala
Brand strategy, logo design, visual identity, print design
In an effort to raise funds to support their mission to protect and enhance the quality of life for animals in B.C., the BC SPCA created Offleashed, a fundraising gala. Held at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, the annual affair is always a sellout attracting more than 300 supporters. A chic and glamorous affair hosted by local tv personalities Ann Luu, Howard Blank, and Erin Cebula, the Offleashed event didn't lack interest but did need an image to better represent its upscale charm. We created a logo and visual identity to reflect the sophistication Offleashed offers while keeping the animals the focus.
Logo Concept
We wanted the logo to strike that balance between cute and clever, and a black tie ball. A dog tag in the shape of a bowtie seemed like the perfect fit.
Brand Vision
Offleashed is the fun gala with a cuddle lounge, dress-up photo booth, and animals walking the runway. We used black and white illustrations of animals paired with a retro pastel colour palette, and the bowtie logo to give the event a classic charm.
